PROPERTY development company dandara have won their third accolade in three months for one of their Jersey developments at the 'What House' Awards 2005 in London.
The Spectrum Project, in Gloucester Street, St Helier, was presented with a silver award after coming second place in the Best Starter Home category of the national competition.
At the ceremony, held at Grosvenor House Hotel, the judges praised the quality of workmanship and the affordability of the apartments for first time buyers.
dandara's managing director, Martin Clancy, said: 'This is the first year that we have entered a scheme for these prestigious, industry awards and ours was the only scheme outside of the UK mainland to be short-listed. To have achieved silver is a great accolade.'
The company has also been commended for their developments in the UK, last month scooping an award for their Lock Building apartment complex in central Manchester. The development, an eleven story apartment block in the centre of the city, got off to a difficult start when construction problems meant serious delays in its completion. But the judges were again full of praise for the Lock Building's architecture, which includes an eleven-story clear-glass atrium.
In September, dandara gained an award for Best Development, at the Daily Mail Property Awards, for their Majestic apartments, which overlook Douglas Bay in the Isle of Man.
