A Special Christmas Evening took place in the magnificent new Chart Room at Millais House, Castle Quay on the 8th December 2011. Guests enjoyed drinks canapes in the sumptuous surroundings of the Chartroom accompanied by the sounds of The Jersey Big Band.
Guests were also treated to be the first to view the new artwork commissioned by Dandara that takes pride of place in the Chart Room. The sculpture entitled Little Shining Man by Heather and Ivan Morison is work of art that can fly (see video). Built from carbon fiber and a 3D-printed joint system, it draws inspiration from the crystal structure of pyrite and Alexander Graham Bell's tetrahedral kites.
Three Cubes Colliding from Jimandtonic Little Shining Man by Ivan Morison and Heather Peak, commissioned by Dandara for the Chart Room, Castle Quay.
