New show home opens in Aberdeen West End this weekend

Dandara is launching a new luxury show home at The Grange in the West End of Aberdeen on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 November.

Sales consultants will be on hand to tell potential buyers about plots on offer, incentives and to advise on the build programme. There will also be an opportunity to enter a prize draw to win a festive hamper.

The five-bedroom ‘Yew’ with sunroom in the heart of the leafy development will be available to view from 10.00am on the Saturday. Visitors will be able to take a tour to see the nature-inspired interior with a colour palette of stone, deep burnt orange, soft fern green, and a rich indigo blue along with print wallpapers and accessories. The housebuilder has paid homage to the wide variety of sporting activities in the area with hockey, golf and equestrian-themed bedrooms.

One of Dandara’s most popular five-bedroom homes, the ‘Yew’ has a spacious layout with an impressive lounge with double doors leading through into the large open-plan kitchen/dining and sunroom. This space has been designed to be functional but inviting with indigo Shaker-style kitchen units, a large dining table with velvet chairs for cosy suppers or formal entertaining, feature shelving and an oversized sofa to curl up and relax on after a busy day. Residents can do their chores in style in the sleek utility room. A downstairs cloakroom with a richly patterned leaf wallpaper in warm autumnal colours completes the ground floor.

Upstairs there are five generous double bedrooms, two of which have their own en suite, and a family bathroom. The master bedroom has an upmarket boutique hotel feel with its statement orange and silver botanical print wallpaper, smart bedside tables, and opulent bed with its stylish cinnamon coloured suede headboard. The guest bedroom pairs navy blue with the palest pistachio-coloured walls while bedroom three is inspired by the local riding club, Hayfield, and is perfect for horse lovers with its equestrian prints and accessories. The children’s room is bound to be a hit with local hockey fans as the designers have used the Gordonians team colours to great effect to create a classic yet fun twin boy’s room.

Designer Rebecca Jones, from interior specialists Claude Hooper, said: “The scheme gives traditional elements a contemporary twist and is very luxurious but warm and welcoming too. We have added lots of local links to the design scheme to give the house more character and to ensure it really stands out from competitors – hopefully local people will feel right at home when they visit, and it will help buyers from other areas to imagine themselves living in the area.”

Claire Bathgate, head of sales at Dandara Aberdeen, commented: “The show home is absolutely gorgeous, the designers have done a wonderful job and I am sure visitors will love it as much as we do – especially all the influences from the local sporting activities, hockey, horse riding and golf which are all available nearby.

“We wanted the show home to not only reflect the very high specification, carefully designed floor plans and quality kitchens and bathrooms which are Dandara’s signature style, but also to show off its wonderful surroundings close to the park and playing fields and just a short drive to the city centre.”

Alongside a modern exterior featuring solar panels, the latest homes at The Grange and nearby Hazelwood development include contemporary fitted kitchens complete with high-quality appliances, thermostatically controlled showers, landscaped front gardens and generous rear gardens. Each home also benefits from an integral garage.

These adjacent developments are just over 10 minutes’ drive from the attractions of Aberdeen where residents can enjoy cafés, restaurants, shops, and the cultural attractions of one of the UK’s most exciting and rapidly developing cities. Aberdeenshire was recently named as the best place to live in the UK by resident review site HomeViews.

Hazlehead Park, with its children’s playground and café, is on the doorstep of the developments and there are superb local amenities, and access to the River Dee. There’s close proximity to the A90 which connects them to Dundee and Edinburgh, whilst the A96 heads further up north to Inverness.
