Percentage for Art - Jersey

Image of artwork by Stephen Cox

At the beginning of Jersey's Architecture Week 2008, the main sponsor Dandara Jersey, under the Planning & Environment ‘Percentage for Art’ scheme is delighted to announce the commencement of an ambitious program to acquire works which will not only bring a new level of excellence to residential and commercial redevelopment, but will also benefit generations of Islanders for many years to come.

Fabric of the Island

Together with advisor Philip Hewat-Jaboor, unique pieces are being commissioned from leading British sculptors and the works, some inspired directly by the Jersey landscape and its history will become part of the fabric of the Island whilst serving to enhance its natural beauty.

Commenting on behalf of Dandara, Managing Director Martin Clancy said, “We have fully embraced P&E’s ‘Percentage for Art’ scheme and have made significant investment in pieces which have relevance to the individual schemes. These unique sculptures will enhance the developments for both the individual residents and the general public alike”.
