Glasgow will soon have a stunning new landmark on its skyline River project pushes boundaries

DANDARA, the privately owned property developer behind One City Wharf, has revealed new images of its £200m, mixed-use development right alongside the Kingston Bridge in Glasgow.

One CW wiIl be a new landmark on the skyline, becoming a recognizable gateway pillar for the city's International Financial Services District and offering prominent branding exposure to the one million vehicles that cross the bridge every week.

Developed over four phases, the project on currently derelict land west of the bridge will deliver 240,000 sq ft of Grade A office space, built alongside 856 contemporary apartments in four 22 storey towers, as well as retail space in the form of cafes and shops to support the regeneration of the area. It will also feature a 740-space underground car park, the largest in Glasgow.

Dandara is investing heavily in the riverfront project, its first commercial development in Scotland, and believes the superior Grade-A specification planned for its interior should raise the bar in terms of quality of design and internal finishes.

"The images show the sheer scale of One CW," says development director Alan Kinloch. "We are pushing boundaries and expectations within the commercial property sector and will incorporate a number of features which will be a first for Glasgow."

Completion of what Kinloch likes to call "the most prestigious business address in the city" is expected by October next year.

Designers of the scheme, built on a site formerly occupied by a council-owned homeless hostel, a pub and warehousing are architects GM + AD.

Dandara is a major UK developer established 20 years ago, based in Manchester but with an office at Glasgow Harbour.
