Based in our long established and rapidly expanding office in Jersey this will be a pivotal role within our closely-knit technical team working on exciting residential and mixed use projects on the Island of Jersey

The Role

Working alongside other Design Managers and in-house Architects, an opportunity has arisen for a key individual to play a senior role in the development of existing schemes with responsibility for the management of external consultants and the coordination of the design team members for projects as allocated. Drawing and detail production will be required initially to ascertain the candidate’s technical knowledge and design experience although as the role develops the emphasis will become management focused rather than production drawing lead.

Responsibilities

• Organisation and preparation of detailed design drawings.
• Writing project and elemental specifications.
• Updating of computer based drawings.
• Assisting Design Manager with the coordination and collation of all required design/statutory information required to enable the commencement of various new developments.
• General project coordination.
• Liaison, co-ordination with other departments regarding development works including engineers, surveyors, buyers, interiors and the construction team.
• Building and site surveys - obtaining quotations, negotiating rates, instructing consultants and arranging the works.
• Assisting with the preparation of tender documents.
• Coordination with contractors on site.
• Contract administration.
• Site visits and inspections.

Jersey
