There are plenty of things to do in Wingham, especially when it comes to enjoying the outdoors at the weekend. You’ll be minutes from the flamingos, lions and red pandas at Wingham Wildlife Park, or you can head to Stodmarsh National Nature Reserve for slower, scenic walks. On sunnier days, the beaches at Sandwich and Margate are only a short journey by car. 

There are plenty of great spots to eat as well, with The Dog at Wingham being a local favourite. And when you fancy cooking at home, Gibsons Farm Shop in the village is stocked with quality butcher cuts and seasonal fruit and veg. 

Getting around is also simple from Fortuna Fields. Canterbury is about 20 minutes away by car, while Sandwich is around 15 minutes and you can be in London in under two hours by car. If you’d rather let someone else do the driving, Adisham railway station is just five minutes away and offers direct connections to Canterbury and London Victoria.
