Construction Begins on Dandara's Essex Development The Orchard

Dandara has officially begun construction at The Orchard, its newest development in Little Dunmow, Essex. Following the acquisition of the land last year, and recent planning approval, the site is set to launch off-plan in June 2024. Once complete it will include 160 homes and an 8.4-hectare area of public open space.

The offering of one- to five-bedroom homes will feature houses with open-plan living spaces, private gardens and a number of sustainable features, including air source heat pumps and water efficient fittings. 

Residents will be able to enjoy the development’s publicly accessible open space, which will include a community orchard, wildlife area and pedestrian and cycling paths connecting to the nearby Flitch Way linear country park. Additionally, The Orchard will feature a community building as a result of collaboration between Dandara and the Little Dunmow Parish Council.

The site is also close to a number of transport links, including the Braintree railway station and A120, which connects Little Dunmow with the nearby towns of Braintree and Bishop’s Stortford.
