Dandara Donates Books To Flitch Green Academy To Support With School Library

The Flitch Green Academy has received a £500 donation from independent housebuilder Dandara, who is currently building at The Orchard in Little Dunmow and St Mary’s Park in Great Dunmow, to provide a selection of books to help boost its library resources. 

Ahead of the National Year of Literacy in 2026, the donation of books for children aged four to eleven from the housebuilder will support their educational development and further contribute to their overall confidence.

The donation from Dandara comes as part of its ongoing partnership with The Flitch Green Academy. The housebuilder is providing construction works for its Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and courtyard areas and previously donated towards the school’s outdoor play equipment.

Laura Christmas, Deputy Headteacher at The Flitch Green Academy added: “The books from Dandara will have a lasting impact on our children’s learning. Access to high-quality reading resources is vital and something that schools urgently require, and this donation will support our pupils’ literacy, imagination and development. We’d like to say a big thank you to Dandara, the pupils will love reading the books come the new year!”
