Local housebuilder Dandara has put its eggs to the test as it recently welcomed Carway Primary School to take part in an interactive chocolate egg trail around its Golwg Gwendraeth development to celebrate Easter this April.
As part of its ongoing partnership with the school, Dandara hosted an educational easter egg hunt for 59 pupils as they searched for chocolate eggs and Easter related treats around the development. All the pupils received a chocolate egg at the end of the hunt as a thank you for their participation.
The pupils also designed Easter theme posters, which were displayed in the Sales & Marketing Suite at Golwg Gwendraeth over the Easter weekend. The winner received a large easter egg for their efforts.
The trail was the second workshop hosted at Golwg Gwendraeth as part of the year-long partnership. The collaboration kick started with a planting session in March, where pupils had the chance to plant a selection of wildlife seeds on the development to support the decline in pollinators across Wales.
Catrin Melly, Teacher at Carway Primary School, commented: “The Easter egg hunt was a fantastic way to get the children outdoors and encourage teamwork as they searched for the eggs. Having the chance to observe the seedlings they had planted allowed them to see firsthand the progress of their efforts. All the pupils thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and the opportunity to burn off some energy before the Easter holidays!”
Sara Taylor, Sales Director at Dandara Wales & West, said: “It was great to welcome back the pupils from Carway School as they took part in the Easter themed trail. Bringing the local community to Golwg Gwendraeth enables us to create wonderful experiences. We are proud to collaborate with Carway School for its pupils to learn and foster relationships with the outdoors, in a fun and engaging way.”
