Dandara Jersey demonstrates its ESG Achievements

Dandara Jersey has published its ESG Summary 2025, showcasing continued progress across environmental, social, and governance priorities.

Highlights include:

  • Social Impact: £88.2m in total social value generated from projects such as the Government of Jersey HQ, achieving a social return on investment of £1:£2.11. Over the last financial year, the office supported 179 local jobs directly as well as 6 apprenticeships.

  • Biodiversity: 415 trees planted across Jersey, with a further 1,500 planned through the Railway Walk project, and £740,000 invested in public realm improvements over the years.

  • Governance: Developments typically achieving an “Excellent” rating across all three categories of the Considerate Constructors Scheme—recognising community respect, environmental care and workforce value.

Such achievements demonstrate how “our ESG principles are central to how we operate and develop for the future of Jersey” according to Alex McEwan, Managing Director, Dandara Jersey Ltd.

Looking ahead, Dandara Jersey will focus on developing a Net Zero Carbon Strategy in line with the UK HB strategy and continue working with local organisations to build sustainable, resilient communities across the island.
