Local housebuilder Dandara has launched its first show home at Fortuna Fields in Wingham, Kent, inspired by current interior trends and accessorised with repurposed products from local charity shops, refill stations and shops from Wingham high street.
With a focus on sourcing accessories from local businesses, products at Dandara’s Chartwell show home have been ethically sourced from sustainable ingredients, to reflect the current interior trends.
Located in the idyllic countryside of Wingham, the four bedroom show home depicts modern and contemporary living and has been designed with neutrals, shades of taupe and tonal browns with hints of rust and raspberry colour throughout. Sustainable materials include wooden based products with a mix of black and brass metals. Concentrating on family living, all bedrooms boast unique themes, with bedroom four influenced by Canterbury’s indoor tennis centre.
Joanne Davies-Jones, Interior Designer at Abode Interiors, commented: “Being the first show home at Fortuna Fields, we were passionate about sourcing local products when designing The Chartwell. It was fantastic to utilise accessories from charity shops and refill stations located in the heart of Wingham to reflect the local area. When buyers move into a new home, it’s important for them to feel like a part of the established community, so we are proud the show home design reflects that.”
Martin Allen at Elgars Estate Agent, commented: “As a village agent, most of the demand for our properties is local with prospective buyers coming mainly from the local East Kent area. The rural village of Wingham offers a good community spirit, excellent local services and the road and rail communication to London puts the area high on buyer’s wish list as a potential village to relocate too. As we see a current demographic of first-time buyers, to families to downsizers, all looking to purchase in the area, Dandara’s newest properties are an ideal fit for all.”
