Carway Primary School has received a donation of confectionary and luxury gifts, from independent housebuilder Dandara, who is building homes nearby at its Golwg Gwendraeth development in Carway, to go towards its Silent Auction raffle.
The donation, which includes a selection of wine, chocolates, and a White Company gift, was available for buyers to browse, place bids on, and purchase at the auction, which took place at the schools fundraising event this summer.
The money raised from the silent auction will facilitate school equipment and go towards resources which will further develop the well-being of all pupils in school and fund relevant equipment to enhance the outdoor area.
Catrin Melly, Teacher at Carway Primary School, adds: “It was lovely to see the turnout at our silent auction, which helped us achieve our goal of raising enough money to buy new equipment for the upcoming new school year. We would like to thank Dandara for the donation, as the proceeds will help us better the learning and development of our students.”
Sara Taylor, Sales Director at Dandara Wales & West, said: “We are pleased to support Carway Primary School once again, located nearby to Golwg Gwendraeth, with their silent auction. We are thrilled for all those who got their hands on some of the goodies and are excited to see all the new equipment to be purchased with the money raised.”
Golwg Gwendraeth is situated closeby to a range of woodland areas that are perfect for walking, such as Coed Ffos Las. For those who fancy taking a trip to the market, Llanelli town has something for everyone, with a selection of supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, and pubs to choose from.
With Ffos Las Racecourse on the developments’ doorstep, and Glyn Abbey Golf Club only half a mile away, both are great for a competitive family day out.
Ideally located for travel around Wales, Golwg Gwendraeth has excellent transport links, including Llanelli railway station approximately a 12-minute drive away. For travel by road, the B4308 will take you straight into LLanelli in around 15 minutes.
