Dandara Supports Carway School For A Second Year Running With Silent Auction

Carway Primary School has received a White Company hamper full of luxury gifts, from independent housebuilder Dandara for a second year running to go towards its Silent Auction raffle and Bingo evening this Autumn.

The hamper donation from the housebuilder, who is currently building at its Golwg Gwendraeth development in Carway, included a selection White Company goods, available for attendees to place bids on and purchase at the auction.

The money raised from the silent auction and bingo evening will go towards equipment to further develop the school’s outdoor area which supports the well-being of pupils and allows a space for them to enjoy, outside of classroom learning.

Catrin Melly, Teacher at Carway Primary School, comments: “It was fantastic to see the great turn out for our Autumn fundraiser and the sheer excitement over the luxury hamper! The proceeds will really help our children reap the benefits of being outside and we want to thank Dandara for their continued support as we fundraise for the new equipment.”

Sara Taylor, Sales Director at Dandara Wales & West, said: “Working with Carway School is always a pleasure and as we support their silent auction for a second year, we are reminded of how important outside learning is for children. We hope the evening raised the required funding for the new equipment to be purchased.”

Golwg Gwendraeth is situated close to a range of woodland areas that are perfect for walking, such as Coed Ffos Las. For those who fancy taking a trip to the market, Llanelli town has something for everyone, with a selection of supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, and pubs to choose from.

With Ffos Las Racecourse on the developments’ doorstep, and Glyn Abbey Golf Club only half a mile away, both are great for a competitive family day out.

Ideally located for travel around Wales, Golwg Gwendraeth has excellent transport links, including Llanelli railway station approximately a 12-minute drive away. For travel by road, the B4308 will take you straight into Llanelli in around 15 minutes.
