Since 2016, the award-winning homebuilder has supported the various Isle of Man Golf events to promote the development of the sport for hundreds of golfers of all ages, and the 2020 events will build on the success of its previous title sponsorship of Isle of Man Golf’s Junior Order of Merit and Junior Championships.

Isle of Man Golf General Secretary Andrew Horne said:

We are delighted Dandara is continuing its sponsorship of Isle of Man Golf into 2020. We rely on support to make these events possible and it is thanks to the foresight of Dandara that we are able to evolve, giving opportunities and encouragement for players of all ages.

Mount Murray club professional and previous winner of the 72-hole stroke play event, Allyn Laing, explained:

It is great news to see the relaunch of the competition in the Island. A number of the Island’s leading golfers have won the tournament in the past and gone on to enjoy successful senior careers. The championship will act as a great incentive for both mens’, ladies’ and senior players, and we expect a healthy number of entries.

Dandara is an active supporter of sport at all levels in the Isle of Man, and has been involved with a number of local football, cycling, volleyball, bowling and rugby initiatives for many years.

Dandara Managing Director Seamus Nugent added:

Dandara is an enthusiastic supporter of sport in our community. Sport presents great opportunity to learn new skills and discipline, socialise, enjoy exercise and, for some, the start of a career. We are delighted to continue our support of Isle of Man Golf and are looking forward to the talents that will no doubt be showcased in the 2020 Championship.
