With great pleasure to announce, Dandara’s site manager, Josh Simpson, has been recognised as the future of construction in the prestigious Building '40 Under 40'.
At 30, Josh has already built an impressive career. Commencing his career as an apprentice electrician, he then began to run his own electrical business before its closing in 2019. He transitioned to a trainee and assistant at Bellway then made the move to Dandara in 2022 as a Site Manager.
Josh holds an NVQ in construction contract operations and was recently awarded Premier Guarantee’s 2024 Site Manager of the Year award for his work at our Saxon Park development, a career highlight for him.
Josh has now been recognised as one of the best of construction’s next generation, having been selected as part of Building’s ‘40 Under 40’. This well-deserved accolade highlights his commitment, expertise, and leadership in the construction industry.
Whilst rewarding, construction can also come with some challenges, in which Josh details to Building. His greatest challenge thus far? Being young in the construction industry. “People often assume you lack experience or knowledge simply because you haven’t been in the field as long as they have, but I don’t think this is the case,” he shares.
Envisioning the next ten years of his career, Josh declares his commitment to evolving and embracing new opportunities. He adds, “I see myself continuing in the construction industry, with aspirations to move into senior management. It's a long-term goal of mine to take on more leadership responsibilities.”
Along with this future, Josh predicts the rise in the use of technology coinciding his career within construction, particularly that of artificial intelligence (AI). “As it becomes more accessible, I expect AI to play a major role in shaping the future of the industry,” he reflects.
Josh’s recognition in Building ‘40 Under 40’ is rightfully deserved, with his experience in the industry being one of dedication, ambition, and determination to drive the future of construction. As he continues to make his mark here at Dandara, we are certain his impact will continue to shape construction in the decades to come.”
