Dandara Supports Pits Wood Trust With Oak Tree Planting In Copford

Independent housebuilder Dandara has donated £250 to the Copford Pits Wood Trust, which has gone towards the planting of seven replacement oak trees around the village of Copford and at the housebuilder’s Oaklands development.

In 2023, 30 seven-foot oak trees were planted around the village as part of the Trust’s ongoing commitment to enriching Copford’s green infrastructure. However, due to weather conditions, seven trees did not survive.

Dandara’s donation has enabled the Trust to purchase seven oak trees, one of which will be planted at its Oaklands development, to celebrate the local community.

Gemma Bannister, Sales Director at Dandara Eastern, commented: ‘At our Oaklands development the vision has always been to create more than just homes – we aim to enrich the local environment and strengthen the community. Helping to restore these oak trees is a wonderful way to celebrate the natural beauty of Copford and we are proud to have the deep-rooted history planted at the development.’’

Chris Denny at Pits Wood Trust added: ‘Dandara’s donation has not only allowed us to plant seven young oak trees across the community but also brings an opportunity for the local residents to come together at the development and celebrate.”
