Final sale at housebuilders first site in the region

One of Dandara’s first and most established developments in the South East, Knights Wood, is celebrating its final sale, marking the end of properties available at the development seven years after it opened. The site will see all residents settled in by the end of the year, with the development ahead of its scheduled completion date of 2023.

The site began construction in 2015 and has delivered 599 properties to the local area, ranging from stylish one-bedroom apartments to prestigious five-bedroom luxury homes. A total of eight million pounds was contributed as part of the developments S106 agreement, which has been invested into local infrastructure and education.

Set within about 150 acres of mature, protected woodland Knights Wood has been  well received with a variety of buyers including Katrina Carson, a Retention Sales Agent (32), Joe Williams, a Web Designer (27) and their dog Norman who bought a two-bedroom home at the site. 

Katrina comments: “The established community at Knights Wood was a huge draw for us; everyone is so friendly and the neighbours are all willing to help each other. We were welcomed with doorstep drinks by ours when we moved in. The development itself feels really safe and has many facilities onsite including a new primary school, cinema, restaurants, and a gym. The health club will be great for making friends with other residents. There is also a ‘Knights Wood Community’ Facebook page which has been nice to interact with the neighbours and locals within the area to find out what is going on.”

Centrally located, Knights Wood saw a surge in buyers moving out of London in the height of the pandemic thanks to its excellent commuting links with High Brooms Station just a mile and a half away which offers a regular train service to London.

The site also proved popular with international buyers attracted to the community feel of the development, and the outstanding schools in the area including Skinners Kent Primary School which is located on site.
