Junior Golf in the Isle of Man in Great Shape

Prizewinners with Gillian Pearson

Junior Island golfers showed their talent in perfect conditions at the 2019 open competition in Peel, sponsored by homebuilder Dandara.

Younger players through to the more experienced juniors took part in the contest before being presented with prizes from Lady Captain at Peel Golf Club, Gillian Pearson.

The competition attracted 35 young players from clubs around the Isle of Man and Junior Organiser Lewis Dening said it had been a great success.

He said: ‘The weather was perfect and there was an extremely good turnout but, perhaps most importantly, we were treated to a showcase of some excellent golf from some of the Island’s finest young players.

It is encouraging so see how much up and coming talent there is locally. We hope they all enjoyed the experience and a big thank you to our sponsor Dandara for its ongoing support, which ensures we are able to present prizes in every category.
