Stansted Hall & Elsenham Cricket Club will celebrate 50 years of cricket at Stansted House in style with support from independent housebuilder Dandara. Currently building its Millers View development in Elsenham, the housebuilder has sponsored 50 of the club’s bucket hats and training shirts for the team’s 50th anniversary match day in celebration of playing at Stansted House since 1974.
Dandara has provided cricket hats, as well as club shirts for the teams to wear on their summer match day on Sunday 30th June, which is open to local members, friends and sponsors of the club.
Founded in 1947, Stansted Hall & Elsenham Cricket Club is a friendly, family orientated village club. With four senior teams and seven junior teams the club provides an opportunity for all members of the local community to get involved in the sport.
David Brown, Chairman of Stansted Hall & Elsenham Cricket Club said: “We’re really looking forward to celebrating this significant milestone for the club and would like to invite anyone interested to come and join us for our anniversary match. We’re grateful to receive support from Dandara and are excited to see the teams in their new shirts and hats on the day.”
Gemma Bannister, Head of Sales at Dandara Eastern, commented: “It is always a delight to be able to support the local sports teams within the area, especially those who have a long heritage like Stansted Hall & Elsenham Cricket Club.
“Building relationships within the local community is very important to us, so to have the chance to supply the cricket club with new kit is super exciting and we can’t wait to watch them play”.
