Our sales teams are at the heart of our developments, so we caught up with Louise Brown, Keepers Chase Sales Consultant, to find out about her role and why she simply loves living in Buntingford.

Can you tell us about your role as a sales consultant?

I am the first point of contact for when customers either come through the door of the sales suite or call to find out more information about the new homes. I love meeting and greeting prospective purchasers at the start of their buying journey and helping them start their next chapter.

I am here to make sure the whole process goes as smoothly as possible and to hand over the keys which is always such an exciting experience for any new homeowner. I can help with conveyancing and also assist purchasers through their choices when they reserve off plan, as they can now do at Keepers Chase.

When buying off plan, unless a Show Home is available, there is only the technical drawings to guide customers as there is very little for buyers to see. Therefore, it’s vital for me to explain as clearly as possible and talk purchasers through each element of their new home in detail to ensure that they are happy with their decision.

With a mixture of first-time buyers, next steppers and downsizers, everyone’s requirements and understanding of the process and levels of experience is different. Some people know exactly what they want whilst others are apprehensive so I try to reassure and to manage everyone’s expectations as best I can. It’s not about the hard sell but finding the best home for that individual.

Which elements of your job do you find the most rewarding?

I’m a sales consultant so it’s always great when a client says “yes, we want to buy” but I like to be sure it’s because they are totally happy with their decision.

Handing over the keys to any new home is a lovely feeling especially as I get to know all of my customers so well throughout the buying process so it’s fantastic to see the journey through with them. I have particular satisfaction when it’s a first-time buyer as the excitement is always so special.

What are the main benefits of living at Keepers Chase?

I think potential buyers of the homes at Keepers Chase will be pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the rooms. The floorplan has been considerately planned throughout, and I can really imagine how each room and space could be utilised – something that I try to bring to life for the customers. Any of the homes would make a lovely move for any first time buyer, growing family or downsizer which is fantastic as once everyone has moved in, I think a variety of buyers make for a richer and more vibrant community for everyone to enjoy.

Externally, the homes are very attractive, and the positioning of the homes allow for a lovely and open feel. Due to the small collection of homes on the development, it will feel exclusive and close-knit. There will also be landscape areas for residents to enjoy and a small children’s park. There really is a huge appeal for all buyers.

What are the top reasons to live in Buntingford?

The location is a fantastic place to set roots and bring up your children. I settled in the area about eight years ago when I moved here for work with my family. There are plenty of activities and hobby groups within walking distance and I felt comfortable that, when old enough, my children could walk to their clubs and school safely. They certainly benefited from the high standard of the local schools and my daughter is now a Marine Biologist in the Maldives!

I also love the community feel of Buntingford and I never had a feeling of being an outsider when we first move here. It’s one of those unique places where people stop and talk to each other, it really is a wonderful community. There’s a real country atmosphere which is enhanced by the lovely village pub with a roaring fire and the wonderful walking and cycling routes that surround us.

Further afield, you’ll find Hertford which has all the high street retailer and Cambridge is also a lot closer than you think which is a huge bonus. It’s a wonderful place for shopping, culture and restaurants and a punt on the Cam.

Do you have a favourite story from your time at Dandara?

I haven’t been working at Dandara for long to gather any favourite stories however what I have found is that they’ve been terribly understanding throughout the current coronavirus crisis and it’s really made me feel like I’m a part of a team, that there’s a Dandara family

In a short space of time they’ve been a great and caring company to work for. It’s the approach I hope customers experience too – one where we want the best result for everybody, that we care about their journey and will do our utmost to provide a stress-free and enjoyable experience.
