Cathy Smart, Executive Headteacher at Potton Lower School, commented: “This was a really positive and useful activity which was a great way to encourage everyone to think about reducing their speed when in their car. The children really enjoyed the activity and it was great to work with Dandara on this community focussed campaign. Our Lower and Middle school are located on the same road as the new Copsewood development, so it is important to the pupils and their parents that the roads are safe.
“Maisy and Flossie are very excited that their signs will be made into road signs and displayed outside the development, and can’t wait to help choose some new books for their classes with the £100 book token which Dandara generously donated.”
Simon Pendlebury, Sales and Marketing Director for Dandara Northern Home Counties, commented: “Given that Potton Lower School is just a stone’s throw away from our Copsewood development, we really wanted to work with the school on this road safety poster competition and help drivers to reduce their speed. Having Maisy and Flossie’s fantastic signs outside our arena will be an important reminder to drivers to slow down.
“It’s great to hear that the children enjoyed it and we hope that it gave the teachers some support during such a challenging time, in which their commitment to teaching has been so enduring.”
Dandara is currently building its Copsewood development just down the road from Potton Lower School where a collection of three, four and five bedroom homes are available.
