Highgate Hill Junction improvement works

As part of the Section 278 Agreement with Kent County Council Highways, we would like to inform and remind you about the scheduled road closure on the local network, essential junction and signal improvement works to the Highgate hill crossroads. We understand that this may cause some inconvenience to your everyday travels and business, we seek your understanding and cooperation whilst we carry out these works.

For this purpose, the following sections of the road will be closed during the specified dates:

Road: CRANBROOK HILL JUNCTION
Start Date: March 31st, 2025
End Date: May 8th, 2025

Road: HIGHGATE HILL JUNCTION
Start Date: May 8th,2025
End Date: June 15th, 2025

Followed by:
June 16th,2025 crossroads will be fully open but 4-way temporary traffic signals will be in place for 5 days, whilst upgraded signals are commissioned.

These works have been approved by KCC and national Highways and will be in place for the full duration of the planned works and fully maintained by registered traffic management contractor throughout the project. Emergency services and public transport sector have also been notified of the works, we are working closely with local authorities to minimise disruption to the network, we would like to take this opportunity to apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
