A Hampshire site manager at Dandara’s Novo new homes development in Drayton, has been declared one of the best in the country in recognition of quality workmanship in the prestigious Pride in the Job Quality Awards.
Liam Buckley (29) from Eastleigh, has been recognised by the National House Building Council (NHBC) in the annual Pride in the Job Quality Awards. Considered ‘The Oscars’ of the housebuilding industry, the industry awards recognise and reward the best run building sites in the country - and are the highest accolade a site manager can achieve. In addition to frequent spot checks from the NHBC, Liam and the Novo team were judged on their consistency, attention to detail, leadership, technical expertise, and health and safety measures.
Liam comments: “This award is such a great honour and I am so happy that our work here at Novo has been recognised at a national level. I definitely can’t take all the credit though as the Dandara team here all works extremely hard to deliver the high standards of quality associated with the company. I would like to thank the whole site team and the contractors for all of their hard work – it’s certainly been a joint effort.”
In total, this year saw over 10,000 entrants for the awards, with just 450 individual winners being chosen.
Richard Matthews, Managing Director at Dandara Southern added: “We are very proud of Liam for winning such a prestigious award for his hard work at Novo. The Pride in the Job Quality Awards recognises only the very best site managers for quality built new homes and well-run sites - and so winning is a great achievement. As well as being something that we can be proud of as a housebuilder, this recognition is also something that customers can look out for as a mark of quality craftsmanship when looking to buy a new home.”
This year also marks Dandara’s first five-star status accreditation from the Home Builders Federation (HBF) annual New Homes Survey in its first year of participating, as the company seeks to expand its housebuilding arm of the business. With notable developments and a proven track record in the Isle of Man, South of England, Jersey and Scotland, Dandara is embarking on its next phase of growth, after enjoying 30 years of quiet success.
Liam and his team are currently building a range a range of two, three and four bedroom homes at Novo – suitable for a range of buyers. Prices start from £290,000 and are available with Help to Buy.
