The Grove ‘Keep Gardening’ for National Gardening Week

A recent OnePoll survey commissioned by the RHS showed that 53% of people in Britain said gardening boosts their mood. With the coronavirus pandemic lockdown extended further, we are offering residents at our development The Grove in Haddenham a way to help lift spirits and get involved with the Royal Horticultural Society’s (RHS) biggest celebration of gardening, National Gardening Week.

The week-long event, this year calls on people to ‘Keep gardening’ to look after their physical health and wellbeing. Dandara has chosen the RHS idea of growing some simple herbs for cooking, indoors on your windowsill or in pots outside with indoor Herb planting kits, which include a selection of seeds, a planter box, and children’s gardening kits.

Encouraging children to learn about gardening

Dandara will be safely supplying all the kits to the residents at The Grove who want to take part. As well as encouraging children to learn about gardening, it is hoped that taking part in the shared national event will help boost the residents’ moods and wellbeing at its development, especially important for those spending more time at home at the moment.
