How does the NHQB protect home buyers?
While it’s unlikely you’ll experience any issues with your new home or the service you receive from us, the NHQB provides an important layer of protection if problems do occur. They oversee the independent New Homes Quality Code (NHQC), which sets clear standards that all registered developers must follow to ensure customers are treated fairly.
The Code also gives you access to the independent New Homes Ombudsman Service (NHOS), which can investigate and resolve complaints impartially. The Ombudsman can make decisions that developers must comply with, helping to ensure fair outcomes and accountability when buying a new build home.
Who is covered by the Code of Practice?
If you buy a home from a new build developer registered with the NHQB, you’re automatically protected by the New Homes Quality Code (NHQC), are we’re proud to be one of them!
Homes reserved from 5th March 2024 are covered by the New Homes Quality Code. Properties reserved before this date continue to be protected under the Consumer Code.
