Bungalows still popular despite 80-year construction low

Bungalow construction has reached an 80-year low according to new figures released by the NHBC*. Only 228 bungalows were registered in the third quarter of 2023, down 70% from 2022.

Despite being one of the least-built house types in the country, bungalows consistently score well with downsizers, with 60% of over 65s interested in moving to one**.
