Dandara has recently donated £3,000 to Edwinstree Middle School to support the school’s outdoor education programme and provide an alternative environment for pupils to learn.
This donation will provide the school, local to Dandara’s Keepers Chase development on Aspenden Road in Buntingford, with a new shed and outdoor learning shelter, with the pupils also presented with Dandara branded waterproofs so they are ready to learn in all weathers.
Steph Barrett, Science Teacher at Edwinstree Middle School commented: “Often overlooked, outdoor education is so important for enhancing children's development and giving pupils a different learning environment is also great for improving their well-being. The new shed and outdoor learning shelter mean we can host class outside in a variety of weather and have plenty of storage space for this outside classroom. We’d like to thank Dandara for this generous donation and providing our pupils with endless opportunities for outdoor fun!”
Rachel Lindop, Head of Sales at Dandara Eastern said: “I think most of us can agree that some of our best memories at school were outside learning and playing, which is why it's lovely to be able to support Edwinstree Primary School with their outdoor education programme. I’m sure the children will spend many happy hours learning outside together, and make great use of the waterproofs and new shelter.
Located in the appealing market town of Buntingford, Dandara’s Keepers Chase development offers a picturesque lifestyle with excellent transport links. From Ware station it’s a 40-minute train journey to the capital, or from Stevenage station Cambridge can be reached in just 30 minutes.
