Dandara gifts books to pupils at Elsenham primary school

As the school term winds down for the Christmas holidays, students at Elsenham Primary School will be able to start the new year off in style with some brand-new books as a Christmas present from housebuilder Dandara.

With its Millers View development just minutes from Elsenham Primary School, Dandara gifted £350 to the school’s Friends of Elsenham School parent-teacher association to go towards the purchase of new curriculum books for the pupils to use during class time.

Gemma Bannister, Head of Sales at Dandara Eastern, commented: “At Dandara, we are always looking for new ways to give back to the communities our developments call home, so when we heard about the need for new books at Elsenham Primary School, we knew it would be the perfect opportunity to both support the school and create a special holiday season for the students. We hope that the books serve as a ‘thank you’ and ‘Merry Christmas’ to the incredible teachers, parents and children at Elsenham!”

Millie Simmons, a member of the Friends of Elsenham School, added: “On behalf of the school and other parents in the Friends of Elsenham School, we’d like to thank Dandara for its generous Christmas gift.

“In order to meet the needs of the students, curriculum books are often reused and passed from class to class, meaning that they can quickly become worn and in need of replacement. This £350 will go far in purchasing new books for the pupils, giving them a quality educational experience and upholding the standard of excellence at Elsenham Primary. Many thanks to Dandara for making this Christmas brighter – and more educational!” Find out more
