Dandara Jersey engage at Highlands College Employability Fayre

Our Dandara Jersey team recently attended the Highlands College Employability Fayre to demonstrate the range of career options available in our industry. Highlands College is a higher educational college in Jersey in the Channel Islands with 860 full-time and over 4,000 part-time and adult students.

Ella-Jay Limbrick and Michael West represented Dandara at the event, which was aimed at sixth form students who are finishing their courses June 2022 and June 2023, with the objective to show them what full-time work opportunities are available to them after completing sixth form.

Ella-Jay Limbrick, from the Jersey team, commented: “We were delighted to be part of the Employability Fayre at Highlands College as it’s important to all of us to encourage young people into the world of construction. It was great to demonstrate the huge amount of varied career paths available and how the industry can provide opportunities for everyone, even those who may not have considered it before. We look forward to welcoming any new recruits.”

They are recruiting for trainees and apprentices in all areas and had great success informing all the students about our trainee programmes available.

Our trainee schemes offer job-hunters the chance to train in roles ranging from site management, quantity surveying, planning and civil engineering, through to land buying, sales and marketing.

The trainee programme runs over a two-year to three-year period, depending on the qualification, and enables trainees to learn on the job as well as study for a wide range of professional qualifications via day release, block release and evening and weekend courses.
