Dandara Reveals Back-to-Work Measures

Following the Isle of Man Government announcement (21st April) that the construction industry can return to work, Dandara has announced new measures are in place to keep its workforce safe.

The safety and wellbeing of the Company’s staff is of paramount importance and therefore the plan includes a carefully managed phased reopening of sites.

In compliance with strict social distancing, the company has also developed site operating protocols and guidance for all staff and anyone visiting a site, such as subcontractors and suppliers. The new protocols include revised risk assessments, site operational practices, inductions and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Managing Director Seamus Nugent commented:

The safety of our people is paramount which is why we have been developing rigorous processes to enable a phased return for our site teams with their safety, wellbeing and protection our foremost concern.

I understand this is a worrying time which is why our working measures must be robust; not only do we want staff to be safe, but we want them to feel safe in the work environment. Our teams are used to working within strict health and safety parameters and they understand these processes are in place for everyone’s safety.

Sites will reopen gradually and the working protocols will be under constant review to ensure our workforce is kept safe throughout.

At the present time the majority of staff who are usually office-based will continue to work from home.
