Leading independent housebuilder Dandara is offering a discount of up to £10,000 on the cost of a new home for eligible members and veterans of the British Armed Forces – not just today on Armed Forces Day (26th June 2021), but throughout the year.
In recognition of their loyal service, and with an awareness of how frequent moves and postings overseas can make saving for a deposit especially challenging, Dandara has just launched an Armed Forces discount of £5,000 on homes up to £250,000, £7,500 on homes up to £500,000 and £10,000 on properties on sale for more than £500,000.
The offer is available to the following HM Forces Members, veterans and families:
· Regular service personnel (including Military Provost Guard Service) in the Navy, Army and Air Force, clinical staff (except doctors and dentists), MOD Police officers and uniformed staff in the Defence Fire Service, who are over 18 and have completed their basic training.
· Veterans who have served in the Armed Forces for a minimum of six years and apply within 12 months of discharge.
· The surviving partners of Regular service personnel who have died in service, where they apply within 12 months of the date of being bereaved.
The discounts are available for residential mortgages only (not buy-to-let) and are subject to contract and status. Military status should be disclosed at the time of reserving a property.
Martin Clancy, Managing Director of Dandara, says: “We are all immensely grateful for the service and commitment of members of our Armed Forces and offer this discount in recognition of those who do a challenging and difficult job and often find it harder to get on the housing ladder as a result. We send our best wishes and thanks to everyone in the Services on this Armed Forces Day, and assure them of our commitment throughout the year.”
