Local housebuilder gets into the swing of things at charity golf day

Dandara South East raised £11,500 at their annual Charity Golf Day held recently at Woldingham Golf Club in Caterham.

A total of 48 golfers took part in the competition, with money raised going to The Ronald McDonald House Charities UK and Crowborough Foodbank.

Teams comprised of two Dandara players who competed against two subcontractors, with the hosts winning the overall tournament by a single point.

David Garrett, Managing Director at Dandara South East, said: “It was a great day and everyone played very well, every year the standard of golf seems to get better and better. I would like to thank all those who entered teams and bid in the charity auction with the money going to two very worthy causes, both of which offer incredible services for the community.”

Ronald McDonald House Charities UK provides free home away from home accommodation for families while their child is in hospital. With 14 houses across the UK, the charity offers families a warm and comfortable place to rest and relax moments away from their child’s hospital ward.

Crowborough Foodbank offers nutritionally balanced, tinned and dried food to those who are in need. With collection points across Crowborough town centre and 40 volunteers who help collect and sort the food, the charity aims to support those struggling within the local community both practically and emotionally.   Find out more
