Housebuilder Dandara helped residents at its 1887 The Pantiles development on Linden Park Road get into the Jubilee spirit, by serving Pimm’s to the public in aid of Help for Heroes.
Offered free of charge, residents and visitors were encouraged to make a donation in return, with £189.66 raised for the charity.
Help for Heroes supports wounded veterans and Service personnel, providing physical, psychological and financial aid to those in need. Almost entirely relying on public donations, Help for Heroes works across the UK and relies on generous donations and funding from the UK public.
Louise Norman, Associate Sales and Marketing Director at Dandara South East, commented: “We are very proud to be fundraising for Help for Heroes, and it was fantastic to see so many members of the local community and new residents at The Pantiles come together to dig deep and give generously to Help for Heroes.”
Carole Groves, National Senior Fundraising Manager at Help for Heroes, added: “We rely on generous donations from the public in order to provide essential support to men and women who have been physically or psychologically wounded whilst serving in the British Armed Forces, so they and their families can recover and get on with their lives. We greatly appreciate the efforts of residents at The Pantiles. We are extremely thankful to Dandara for taking the time to organise this event, and the money raised will allow us to continue helping veterans and their families.”
