Tenterden Infant School has received a donation of laptops from Tunbridge Wells based housebuilder Dandara, who is building its Church View development less than a minute away on Recreation Ground Road, Tenterden.
Dandara’s donation will be used to provide laptops for each Foundation class, allowing the children to access their educational programmes throughout the day.
Mrs Tina McIntosh, Head of Schools for Tenterden Primary Federation, commented: “Having a laptop available in each Foundation class will help to support the children’s learning, particularly in an increasingly digital world where the use of ICT is an important life skill.
“The children have increased their confidence and computer skills in their online and home learning tasks. Having a laptop in each foundation class will enable the children to continue independently using these skills in their learning. I am really grateful to Dandara for this kind donation. This is a resource that all the children will be able to use throughout their day.”
Louise Norman, Sales and Marketing Director for Dandara South East, commented: “Access to laptops has become so important in the last year for children’s education and, given that our Church View development is just a stone’s throw away from the school, we are happy to have the opportunity to donate some laptops for the Foundation classes at Tenterden Infant School – particularly after such a challenging year. We hope the laptops will help support the fantastic work the teachers at Tenterden Infant School do.”
Dandara is currently building its Church View development just down the road from Tenterden Infant School, where a collection of one, two, three, and five bedrooms homes are available.
