There's a buzz for Cardiff pupils with help from housebuilder

To help sustain the UK’s declining bee population and encourage local biodiversity, housebuilder Dandara has donated bee hotels to Pontprennau Primary school, close to its Sant Silian development on Bridge Road.

By providing a bee hotel for each year group, Dandara is contributing to efforts ensuring the preservation of local wildlife, all while helping children to foster an appreciation of the vital work bees carry out in our ecosystem.

Tracey Gallacher-Thresh, Sales & Marketing Director for Dandara Wales & West said: “We’re always looking for new ways to support the communities we build in, which is why we are so pleased to donate bee hotels to Pontprennau Primary School. It’s important we are all helping and learning about local biodiversity, and we hope the pupils enjoy looking after their hotels.”

The class teacher from Pontprennau Primary School commented: “The children are so excited to look after the bee hotels and see them used by our new guests, all whilst learning more about the wildlife in our area. A big thank you to Dandara for their kind donation!”

Just over a mile from Pontprennau Primary School and only seven miles from Cardiff city centre, Sant Silian offers a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes as part of a wider development that includes another local school, allotments and a park.

With spacious open-plan living areas, high specification kitchens and contemporary bathrooms throughout, Sant Silian is offering contemporary modern living in the heart of a thriving community. Cardiff Gate Retail Park’s variety of shops, cafes and restaurants is only a short walk away, with Cardiff’s Rhymney Trail providing plentiful green space and an abundance of nature near the development.

Additionally, Sant Silian is located close to Pentwyn Link Road, which provides direct access to the M4 motorway and into central Cardiff, and offers a fast and easy commute to Bristol. Find out more
