Dandara Financial Contributions + Social & Local Value

Over the last few years, a key focus area for Dandara has been the creation of Social & Local Value within local communities where we develop housing. 

In simple terms, Social & Local Value is the value an organisation contributes to society beyond a reported profit. Where profit is measured in standard accounting terms, Social Value is measured by actions. Examples of positive impact around Social & Local Value by Dandara include local procurement, local employment and our support of local initiatives and organisations. While we are very aware that not all social value can be measured, we have quantified some of the financial values associated with these measures and are happy to share the estimated Social and Local Value created between Jan 2021 and May 2023.
